Lisa Umanns Beitrag:
The festival of my world
ME
on the strand,
hands full of sand.
BEAUTIFUL COLOURS,
a magical flair
you can taste all around in the air.
MERMAIDS
look out of the water,
look out of the sea, their father.
WAVES,
skyscraper like,
would catch you in one strike.
STORMCLOUDS
lightning flashes through the sky,
a wonderful game in my eye.
WIND
carries the sound of tonight,
the sound of the thunders, the sound of a fight.
MOONLIGHT
touches my skin,
the moon vs me, I will win.
SINGING VOICES
you can hear,
over there and also here.
BUT
only the moon and me,
have seen the festival of the sea.

Beitrag von Alexandra Anders:
English-competition “the world I (will) live(d) in”
Poem written by Alexandra Anders, 10/1
Schizophrenic Wonderland
Voice I: Hey you, stranger!
Can’t recognize you, don’t know your face
Have you ever been here in this place?
You look different but still the same…
Please, tell me your name!
Answer or you’ll be in danger!
Voice II: Wait, don’t do anything!
My name is unimportant here
Why should anyone care?
Yes, I’m a stranger, lost in space
Tell me, how do you call this place?
It seems to be suited for living
Voice I: This planet is called Mars
We have been living here for years now
Please, don’t ask me how
I swear, it can be very hard
It wasn’t an easy start
But it’s one of the most beautiful stars
Voice II: The planet I once lived on
Had a breathtaking nature
The landscape was like a treasure
There were mountains, forests, oceans
Beautiful places, too great for human emotions
See, it was even better than this one
Voice I: That sounds too lovely to be true
Once I saw similar things
But they’ve been destroyed, no bird sings
No tree grows, no clear river runs anymore
Environment polluted, just for a fashion-store
Who had been living there, humans like you?
Voice II: Yes, the human race had the power
There was a just life for everyone
Enough to eat, the peace won
We had a democracy, law and order
Peoples liked each other across a country’s border
And we helped each other even in the darkest hour
Voice I: Oh, that can only be a sweet dream
Once I saw such poverty
A world of chaos, ruled by insanity
People died of hunger, deeply in debt
Oppressed by the government, children wept
So much blood has been shed, ran into a big stream
Voice II: Stop it, that sounds so cruel!
Must been monkeys, you need technical progress to live comfortable
Having invented the steam-engine nothing seemed to be unreachable
We developed cars, computers, mobile phones
And robots tidied up our homes
Solar energy was the new fuel
Voice I: I think you forgot some great inventions
Having invented atom bombs or an automatic gun
All the mad people killed just for fun
Cloned animals, new sorts of trees were planted
Technical improve was everything they wanted
But endless thirst for knowledge will never get redemption
Voice II: Redemption was given by God
People had many different names for him
Sometimes he was fat, sometimes thin
Giving them love, hope and security
They believed, only some did blasphemy
But all in all they prayed a lot
Voice I: Oh please, you waste your breath
There was no peace but wars in the name of God
Innocent people suffered a lot
Religion was just a tool of mankind
The faithful had been made blind
With a simple promise: a better life after death
Voice II: You are so horrible!
I don’t know which planet you’re talking about
I’m just a poor astronaut
Came from the Blue Planet, that’s its name
Unbroken will be its fame
The apocalypse is just incredible
Voice I: I really can’t believe it!
I talked about the Earth
But it’s not worth
To be talked about
Well, come into my house, here on the street it’s too loud
And it must be late, the lights have already been lit.
